Information you provide

To generate a listing, you enter a product name and optional details (material, dimensions, audience notes). We do not require account registration. We do not store your product inputs in our own database after your session ends.

Do not enter sensitive personal information, payment details, passwords, private customer data, medical information, or content you do not have the rights to use.

AI processing

Your product inputs and the generated listing outputs are sent to Anthropic for AI processing. We do not store these in our own database. Anthropic may retain API inputs and outputs according to their own data retention policy — typically up to 30 days, subject to their terms and applicable law.

Analytics

We use PostHog (EU-hosted) to understand how people use the site — which pages are visited and which features are used. PostHog processes this data on our behalf on servers in the European Union, and we do not sell it or share it with advertisers. PostHog may set cookies or use local storage to measure usage across your visits. We do not use advertising cookies or third-party ad networks.

Cookies and local storage

We set two server-side cookies to enforce free-tier limits. craftproof_usage tracks how many full listing drafts you have generated. craftproof_basic_used tracks whether you have used the one-time basic draft offered when you skip optional follow-up questions. These cookies contain only cryptographically signed counts — no personal information.

Your browser also stores a local counter (craftproof_count) in localStorage to display your remaining free generations. This value never leaves your device.

We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party ad networks.

Hosting, logs, and abuse prevention

The site is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may retain standard server logs including IP address, request path, timestamp, browser and device metadata, and performance diagnostics per their privacy policy.

To prevent abuse of our free tools, we apply short-lived rate limiting using Upstash, which temporarily records a request count tied to your IP address. These counters expire automatically after a short window.

Email you choose to give us

We do not require account registration. Email is always optional. If you contact us by email (e.g. for support), we use your address and message only to respond.

In some places the site invites you to leave your email voluntarily — for example, to receive a free review of one of your listings, to join a launch waitlist, or to get product updates. We only store an email address you type in and submit yourself. We use it solely for the purpose stated where you submitted it (such as sending that review or update); we do not sell it, and we do not use it for unrelated marketing. Every email we send you will say who it is from and include a simple way to opt out — you can also unsubscribe any time by replying or emailing us.

Voluntarily submitted emails are stored with Upstash (our managed database provider), along with the time of submission and basic non-personal context such as which page you submitted from.

Data retention

Your product inputs are not stored by us after the API call completes. The free-tier usage cookies expire after one year, and IP-based rate-limit counters expire after a short window. Server logs are retained by Vercel per their policy.

An email address you voluntarily submit is kept until it is no longer needed for the purpose you gave it, until you ask us to delete it, or until you unsubscribe — whichever comes first. If you emailed us directly, we keep that correspondence for as long as needed to resolve your request.

Your privacy rights

We do not maintain user accounts, so the main personal data we hold directly is an email address if you chose to give us one. You can contact us at support.craftproof@gmail.com at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your email and any related information we control, and we will action deletion promptly. You can also opt out of any email we send. For data held by Anthropic, Vercel, or Upstash, please refer to their respective privacy policies.

Children

This service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance.
